Relocation - near Phnom Penh - December 5, 2001

Within a week many of the fire's victims were relocated to a couple of sites far from Phnom Penh. These photographs were taken on December 5, 2001 at one of these sites. It is located nearly twenty kilometers from central Phnom Penh. There is no water. No schools. No market. No jobs. Nothing. There isn't even a decent road for miles. On the morning I arrived the government was donating "care packages" - rice, noodles, a blanket, a little cash.
